I've been trying to find the cheapest car shipping quote for over a month now. I found an ad on Craigslist by an independent trucker.  He's dirt cheap but I'm hesitant about the whole process. Any advice?

5  Kar Shipping Forum / Ask the Vehicle Shipping Experts / Preparation Part 2 on: July 02, 2008, 06:18:09 PM
Since we are on the subject of car preparation.  I have a little list of my own for my car shipping company.

1. Don't change my stereo levels.
2. I don't want anyone taking my toll money out of my ash tray.
3. I prefer NOT to have a female driver. I tend not to get along with females in business transactions, even though I'm a female myself.
6  Kar Shipping Forum / Ask the Vehicle Shipping Experts / Do I have to prepare for car transport? on: July 02, 2008, 05:56:13 PM
The car shipping company that I contacted gave me a how-to prepare my car list before it’s picked up such as removing all belongings from my car, etc.  One thing that I have trouble understanding is that they want me to wash my car. If I'm having an open carrier and its open to weather conditions such as rain and debris, do I still have to was my car?

Not too many people that I know ship luxury cars to the Hampton Bays. Most travel via private jet. Besides referrals, how do I find reviews about a particular auto transport company?

8  Kar Shipping Forum / Ask the Vehicle Shipping Experts / Drop-off location is remote on: May 19, 2008, 02:29:50 PM
My vehicle is going to be dropped off in a remote area.  I heard that some auto shipping companies avoid remote areas like the plague. What should I do? I need my car delivered.
9  Kar Shipping Forum / Ask the Vehicle Shipping Experts / How do I find a reliable auto shipping company? on: May 16, 2008, 10:20:53 AM
My fiancé is very nervous about me hiring an auto shipping company to haul my new Mercedes. He’s afraid that my car will be sold off to the mafia or something like that.  How can I convince him that it’s really going to be shipped?
