I need to ship a inoperable vehicle overseas is this possible or does the vehicle have to be working?

I've been trying to find the cheapest car shipping quote for over a month now. I found an ad on Craigslist by an independent trucker.  He's dirt cheap but I'm hesitant about the whole process. Any advice?

2. I don't want anyone taking my toll money out of my ash tray.
3. I prefer NOT to have a female driver. I tend not to get along with females in business transactions, even though I'm a female myself.

The car shipping company that I contacted gave me a how-to prepare my car list before it’s picked up such as removing all belongings from my car, etc.  One thing that I have trouble understanding is that they want me to wash my car. If I'm having an open carrier and its open to weather conditions such as rain and debris, do I still have to was my car?

Not too many people that I know ship luxury cars to the Hampton Bays. Most travel via private jet. Besides referrals, how do I find reviews about a particular auto transport company?
