This depends on the company’s policy and the arrangement you have with them. Some companies will allow you to use your own locks and have a unique set of keys. Others will request an additional set to keep in the safe of the ship, so there is access to the car in case of an emergency (fire, etc.). As for the actual loading and unloading, you can certainly request to be present when the container is open and closed.
