In the event that your vehicle is delivered with damages from shipping, take detailed notes on the “Bill of Lading” and have the driver sign the document before you accept the car. Make sure you take pictures of any damages. If the car is delivered during the evening, inspect the car under bright lights and it won’t hurt to bring along a flashlight.

It is more than likely that your car will be delivered in the same condition it was in when you dropped off.   However, if there are damages, make sure you contact your shipping and insurance companies right away. You should not run into any problems if you have carefully inspected your transporter’s insurance policy.

A reputable shipping company will want to resolve your problem a.s.a.p. In the event you feel like you are being treated rudely, you can file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and any professional organizations the company belongs to. Remember, this is just an unlikely scenario.   If you take the extra time to research your shipping company and prepare your car for transport the right way, you are almost guaranteed a seamless shipping experience.

Having the auto transport driver sign the bill of landing is definitely the first step toward toward securing your argument that your vehicle was damaged during car delivery. It is always wise idea to take pictures of your vehicle before auto shipping and then again when your automobile gets delivered to its final destination.

I agree with john, in that most auto shipping companies will want to handle this before it escalates to a bigger matter. Also if the safety of your vehicle is a concern you may want to spend alittle more and get enclosed car shipping service http://www.karshipping.com/car-shipping-blog/category/enclosed-car-shipping/
