What are some of the differences between car shipping locally and internationally? Anything I should keep in mind?

Not only will fees be higher when shipping internationally, but you will also have extra charges for customs, clearance and maybe even taxes (depending on your destination). There may also be limitations on the type of car you can ship and how long it takes for the vehicle to get there.

when shipping internationaly make sure to check with the countries taxes. Also make sure your car has a quarter tank of gas or less.
