It is very important that you thoroughly read and sign the bill of lading during the inspection. Also, read the terms and conditions that the auto shipper will give you before placing the car on the shipping carrier.
When you receive the car from the driver, review the bill of lading again to make sure you understand exactly what the driver has stated regarding the status of your car. If your car is damaged, make sure that you take note of the damages. In order to be compensated, you have to make a claim to the auto shipping company within a two-week period.
