I’m talking about EVERYTHING from loose bolts to the antenna to the handles or pedals. Is this normal?

Yes. This is actually done to protect your car. Loose items can bang and fly around, causing damage to the car and possibly voiding your warranty (especially if you’ve been instructed to remove them and choose to ignore the warning). Loose or protruding items are also more likely to break off or scratch the car.
