Why do chat representatives on car shipping company websites insist on giving me the 800 number to customer service whenever I have a question? Whether I have 2 questions or 150 questions, a rep should be able to answer each and every question a customer has in a professional manner.

Representatives via chat, in the car shipping industry as well as other industries, will refer you to an 800 number or local number. Many car shipping companies have limited staffing to handle online chat customers.  They may not be able to answer ever single question that you may have. So, they will automatically refer you to a number to call so that an agent can handle your questions more efficiently.

I dont like those online chats on car shipping websites either... sometimes you have to wait like 10 minutes in between every question you have Angry   its like Geeez sometimes you just have a simple question.... car transport companies push you to call because once they already got you on the phone and can be more personal with you there is a better chance that you may use there transportation services. Good phone customer service and a low car shipping quote make a great combo  Smiley
Also i guess most of these vehicle shipping website chat's are answering questions of multiple people at the same thats why they take so long to respond or they may just be sitting on AOL chatting with there buddies...
