Does anyone know how long will it take my car to be shipped and how much in advance do I need to book my auto transport?

It took me about 3 to 14 days to reach my point of destination. The distance between pick up and delivery, weather and traffic will all affect the total length of time. So, you should try booking your move a couple of weeks in advance, don’t wait till the last minute. However, some carriers can accommodate shorter notices.

Another factor is definitely the distance your car will have to travel. Shipping car from New Jersey to Alabama is faster then transporting a car from New Jersey to Arizona.   Many auto transporters do offer express delivery.   Express car delivery does cost more money.

I remember when I requested exact pickup and delivery and the car transporter was not able to deliver in the exact timeframes.  There was a major accident that caused a major delay.  You should be prepared and have enough patience to make your car transporting experience a positive one because delays and situations can occur.
