After placing your order, the auto shipment will be scheduled depending on the dates that are on your order form. You have to make sure when you place your order, you ask for the exact delivery date. The truck will then be assigned to a driver and you will get a phone call from either the truck driver or the flatbed service personnel to schedule a pick up, delivery time and day.
During pick up, the driver will do a thorough inspection of the vehicle on a bill of lading. You will then be asked to sign and acknowledge. At that time you can re-inspect the vehicle again upon delivery for any problems. It is important to know that no claims will be paid unless there is an acknowledgement of any damage upon delivery.
Transportation time usually takes about 8 to 10 business days and may vary depending on the route and that prior notice of about two weeks was given before the date of the shipment. Auto Transporters normally give a window of three business days to schedule your pick up and delivery.

The closer to your pick and deliver date, you will more than likely get a confirmation call to give you a specific date and time of shipping. Transportation time is usually based on regular transporting time it takes for normal delivery. Depending on how busy they are, it can be done in less time than anticipated.
It usually takes a truck about five days to go from New York to Los Angeles. So, if your vehicle is the very last one loaded on the truck and the first on to unload at time of delivery, you will more than likely get a shorter delivery time. It depends on how the vehicle is loaded and unloaded. If your vehicle were the first to load and last to unload, you would probably see your car within two weeks.
