So I will be moving from Cleveland, Ohio to Tucson, AZ in a month.  I will be getting a new car a few days before it will be shipped out there (I would rather wait to get the new car until im already in Tucson but cant for various reasons).  The company that will be shipping the car is called Reindeer Auto Relocation, I dont really have a choice becuase the company will be paying for it.  The car is a jeep liberty if that makes any difference, but can I expect the car to arrive in the same like new condition without scratches?  Also would it be better to have the car on the top or the bottom?  Honestly looking at the pictures of the trucks it seems like there are only inches from the hood of the bottom car to the top rail.  Whats keeping the that rail from hitting the top of that car when the truck hits a bump? Or can I place some of that white car wrap on the hood and sides like the manufactures use when shipping a car to the dealership? Thanks in advance

Since you are concerned about your car getting scratched, you should purchase additional insurance from the company. Insurance will protect your vehicle if it is scratched or damaged during transport.

Also, I suggest that you speak to Reindeer Auto Relocation, the company transporting your vehicle.  Each company in this industry has their own set of rules as to whether car wraps are allowed.

As far as determining what is safer (top or bottom) that is a personal preference.  Each has pros and cons. On the bottom your vehicle could have road debris fly up and hit. On top your vehicle is exposed to more weather. Your transport company should be able to make you comfortable with the choice you make.

Also, on most trucks the trailer is on a suspension so no rails hit any of the vehicles during transport.
