I understand that with cars you can't store your belongings.  What about with motorcycles? Can I store my items? Can't I just purchase additional insurance coverage?

No. You shouldn't store any personal items on your motorcycle. Keep in mind, transporters are not responsible if your belongings are damaged, lost or missing.  Insurance will not cover any personal belongings when transporting your motorcycle.
